Friends Fund Play Area Additions For Toddlers

In February 2008 the Friends secured funding from the Capital Community Foundation, Londonations Fund, to provide some much needed play equipment for our younger visitors. There have been unavoidable delays in completing the project but we are pleased to announce that the new Springies are now in place and ready to use.

Friends Secure Funding For New Tern Raft

The Friends Group have been successful in their application for funding for a new raft for breeding terns at Bedfont Lakes. The funding has been provided by the Thames Community Foundation and this is an important project for our community.

In coincidence with national microchipping month, nurses from Willett House Veterinary Surgery will be taking their successful nurses clinics to Bedfont Lakes Country Park.

If you expected rain over the late May Bank Holiday you will not have been disappointed! However, there were still many hardy people that were not put off attending the Nature Day at Bedfont Lakes.

On 26th April 2007 the Friends of Bedfont Lakes Country Park became a Registered Charity. This means that we will be able to apply for grants and other funds that are only open to registered charities. More information on what this charitable status means will appear here shortly.
