The Countryside Ranger Service provides an annual programme of countryside walks and events for the public. The aim is to broaden the knowledge and awareness of, and raise an interest in, nature, wildlife, and the countryside.

For all events (except Apple Day) - Meet outside the Information Hut. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, suitable clothes and come prepared for the changeable weather! It is inadvisable to bring dogs but if you have to please make sure they are on a non-telescopic lead.

Winter Events Programme

Take a leisurely stroll by the lakes. See spring flowers, frogspawn and other signs that tell us that winter is finally over.
